Bronte Girls’ Secondary Academy in Bradford has received a 'Good' rating in its first Ofsted inspection since opening in 2019 under the iExel Education Trust. The school was rated 'outstanding' in three out of four categories during the inspection in January 2024.
Inspectors praised the academy for its high-quality education, ambitious curriculum, and clear vision for developing well-rounded citizens. Student behaviour was described as exemplary. While noting that some pupils lack access to a range of enrichment opportunities, the academy has committed to expanding these offerings.
Principal Rehana Shafquat expressed delight at the report, crediting the hard work of students, staff, and the school community. Professor Khurshid Khan, CEO of iExel Education Trust, highlighted the significant investments made in the academy, including over £500,000 in facilities and staff development, contributing to the school's outstanding educational quality.
