Exam contingency days for exams
The Contingency days are in the event of a national or significant disruption to exams.
For the Summer 2026 exams, the JCQ and Ofqual have designated Wednesday 24th June 2026 as the main GCSE exam contingency day for the summer 2026 series, with additional sessions on the afternoons of 10 June and 17 June 2026. All Candidates must remain available until 24 June 2026, as exams could be rescheduled to these times in cases of national or local disruption.

Certificates
The exam Boards produce certificates and dispatch them to Bronte in November. Certificates are legal documents and must be signed by the student or a nominated adult with permission.
Certificates should be kept safe as they are evidence of qualifications at a later date. Bronte does not keep copies of the certificates and cannot obtain them at a future date.
If you misplace or lose your certificates you will need to apply directly to the relevant exam board or awarding body for replacements, they will charge a fee for certificates.
